Fake News Blues

"Greetings and aloha from Kauai, Hawaii. 'Fake News Blues' is the 7th single release from my upcoming 8th album. It’s been a long incredible run since my 1st album in 1971, but somehow I keep finding things to say that I haven’t said before, and honestly, songwriting and recording gives me a reason to get up every morning, in pursuit of that elusive creative magic. This song is the culmination of thoughts I've been having over the last crazy year here in the US. Anger doesn't even come close to describing what I, and many others, have been feeling as we watch our current corrupt government try to steer us from a hard won democracy to an authoritarian way of life. Music is the only way I know to express this frustration and anger, and this song is what I’ve come up with. I could have easily written another 5 songs regarding the subject matter, but this will have to suffice least I wallow in too many dark thoughts. Give it a listen when you have a moment, and share with those who might appreciate this sentiment. We shall overcome!" ~ Allan Thomas
