On the heels of Steven’s 2021 Release “All Alone” comes a 5 track EP titled “Don’t Ever Stop : The Nashville Sessions”, which was recorded in September of 2021 at the legendary Ocean Way Studios in downtown Nashville. With a world class band lead by Nashville based drummer Dennis Holt, who has recorded with Kansas, Emmylou Harris, Taylor Swift and others, these new songs continue to raise the bar of excellence in songwriting and production as Steven’s 10th CD.

The Nashville band includes Jimmy Nichols on piano and organ and who’s credits include Faith Hill, BJ Thomas, Reba McEntire, Juice Newton, Rita Coolidge, Alabama and many more. On guitar is Jeff King, who has played on many nationally released albums by artists such as Reba McEntire, Faith Hill, Josh Turner, Pam Tillis, Randy Travis, Art Garfunkel and Johnny Cash to name a few. On bass its Chris Donohue who has recorded and performed for such artists as Robert Plant, The Indigo Girls, Ben Folds, Gillian Welch, Pete Seeger and more.

The most powerful songwriters always seem to mirror topics and emotions shared collectively and influenced by the times we are living. “Don’t Ever Stop” is a breath of fresh air with its contemplative reflection into the depths of love.

The title track “Don’t Ever Stop” is a rocker reminiscent of classic Journey or Fleetwood Mac. “Rich Man” is a sizzling guitar and piano track that features catchy harmony vocals by singers Ariel Theirmann and Veronica McWoodson. “Stop Fooling Around” feels like it could have come straight out of the late 60’s Motown era with its uptempo, danceable groove, it is sure to be a crowd favorite. “What You’re Looking For” is an uptempo americana tune seeped in the traditions of Fleetwood Mac, Eagles, etc. The final track is a sensitive and romantic cover of Jim Croce’s classic hit “I’ll Have To Say I Love You In A Song”. With its lush instrumental sections and Graves’ sincere and emotional vocal, this version truly honors the great songwriter.
