Su Andersson's new single. A song about moving out and coming back home.

New York City! A unique landscape full of stories, backgrounds and the world’s most diverse range of personalities. To discover a new city, is to discover new people as much as something new within ourselves. Then when we return home, it feels like we left a piece of our heart behind. That break up will always be with us and will leave a scar, reminding us of that time in NYC.

“As always when I get back to New York, it feels like coming home even since the first time. There are a lot of contradictions, it hurts a bit and comforts me to be there, I still, sometimes, very often, get excited, but also a lot of things are just what it is, nothing to scream loud about. Of course, there are greetings to Bowie in the lyrics, can’t help it, with “…station to station” and then of course with recording it in Hansa Studio in Berlin which still breathes Bowie.

Further on in the song, the sunburst beauty I ran into was a beautiful guitar, which entirely correct didn’t follow me to back home. Mrs Smith in the song is Patti, who released her book “M-Train” at that very moment, but I’d decided the title of the song a year before, so, sorry. It’s so much a New York song, with later on connections to Berlin. One of the reasons I wanted to re-record the song in Berlin 2020 after the recording in NYC 2016, was obviously Leonard Cohens 'First we take Manhattan, then we take Berlin'".....
