"Dave Rosewood’s sophmore album 'No Rodeo In Rome' is a concept album that tells the story of ‘The Cowboy’. Every track is a window into his life. He experiences the exilaration and frustration of love. This includes losing himself in a life style he can’t tolerate, and the fight to reclaim his true character. Come and follow the journey of ‘The Cowboy’."

"'No Rodeo In Rome' is a short album, coming in at only 8 tracks long, but that still leaves me in a dilemma as to selecting between the windswept and 100% authentic 'Cowboy Moon' and the wonderful almost breathless instrumental 'Canyons', which sounds like the soundtrack to a Sam Peckinpah follow up to 'The Wild Bunch', but I’m probably tempted to go for the former as it really is the benchmark for a rather intriguing and tragically beautiful set of country songs, the likes of which you don’t hear enough of in the 21st century."

"This American singer songwriter ended up in Sweden, where he recorded an album titled 'No Rodeo In Rome'. He was assisted by producer and multi instrumentalist Björn Holm and a couple of local musicians, with the result of a great classic country americana album that is mostly calm and situated around Dave's strong vocals. An uptempo piece like 'Cayons' somehow reminds me of The Shadows, and during the rest of the material I think of Danny Vera or even Johnny Cash, but then a bit lighter. Good album!"

"It's a bit strange to find a real American cowboy in the south east of Sweden singing country songs, but that is exactly what singer songwriter Dave Rosewood is doing well in the 8 tracks on his sophomore self produced album ‘No Rodeo In Rome’."
