- Robert Ryttman / Zero Magazine -

"Peter Gallway says, 'In February, 2023, I traveled to Japan for a series of shows, played solo with just my guitar. The quiet intensity in those rooms, focused on the songs as if having a conversation, that was the inspiration for me to re-imagine and re-record the songs in this collection, solo, live in studio, here in my home on the central coast of Maine'."

- Kenneth Bremer / Blue Desert -

"Having played a series of concerts in Japan with the songs stripped down to just voice and his Godin 5th Avenue guitar, as if conversations, Peter Gallway returned to his studio in Maine to re-imagine and re-record the material live in the same style. Hence this album is a revisiting of songs from across both his solo catalogue and, representing the bulk, his work with Annie Gallup as Hat Check Girl, most of which were fairly stripped back to start with. In most cases, paring the tracks back may not be quite an exactly drastic reworking, but the atmospheric intimacy in which these new versions are couched, is decidedly worth experiencing."

- Mike Davies / Fatea Magazine -

"We have known US singer songwriter Peter Gallway for several decades as a solo performer, as a member of the duo Hat Check Girl with his wife Annie Gallup, as frontman of his own The Real Band and as producer of multiple albums of other artists. On his latest album he has selected 10 songs from his rich catalogue and presents them all with a very sober and melancholic instrumentation. It is just a fabulous piece of art!“

- Valére Sampermans / Rootstime -

"On 'Grace Street', Peter Gallway's new album, there are 10 songs, they represent a part of his long term catalogue, and he played them again by himself with mostly acoustic guitar, with a different arrangement, through a so called natural prism and a more relaxed approach. In such a new environment and artistic conversation, the songs gain a different psychological setting, and the setting itself apostrophizes vocal lyricism and a specific form of intimacy. Peter Gallway mixed and produced the album, which with the prepared material reveals a different, but no less recognizable side of this musician."
