Come with Tzeitel on a dream journey. To places that maybe don’t exist. Except in our minds. Where past and present live side by side.

This record was dreamed up before the pandemic distorted time and space in its unforgettable way. Those were long, slow years that seemed suddenly to be over in a second.

Klezmer music has survived through many eras. It has been passed on from each generation to the next, accompanying Jews as they fled from their homes to escape pogroms, wars and oppression, later to spread its sounds throughout the world. The music will always carry with it the stories of those who have passed it on over the years, in a never ending process. We pay tribute to this timelessness by adding our own stories. Where present and past meet, the common factor is
humanity. The theme is life itself, with all its ups and downs, sorrow, joy, celebration, longing and nostalgia.

We visit various places on our journey: places we long to return to or to leave; places we may never see again; both the real physical places and those we visit in our minds.

"Drömfärden" is Tzeitels 4th album. It includes both traditional and newly composed music in equal measure, all arranged by the group itself. The new material is based on the tonality and feel of klezmer, though often inspired by other influences.
