Summer Days

"'Summer Days' is an end of summer song. It's the measuring of a life by looking back at all of the past summers like a timeline filled with benchmarks and memories. This song is the 1st single from the upcoming album, 'September', which is a collection of songs written over the course of the pandemic. They are songs about reflection, lost youth, nostalgia, regrets, and to an extent isolation, as this past year gave me the opportunity to slow life down and concentrate on where I am now, and what I want to do in the years remaining ahead of me. This song was written in August of 2020 and represents a turning point, as if a light switch was turned back on. And the songs began to flow like they haven’t in a long time." ~ Steve Yanek
