Lazy Afternoon released their latest single, “The Weight Of Every Teardrop”, on October 1st, 2025. When Bo Ahlbertz received the lyrics from Ken Donner, he described it as if the music 'came straight to him'. Inspired by Peter Green and Carlos Santana’s guitar from “Black Magic Woman”, "The Weight Of Every Teardrop" was shaped into its laidback and softer sound that is somewhat different from the band’s other songs. The song invites the ear to melancholy, but with a hopeful promise that crying is healing.

The song is recorded by Bo Ahlbertz and Janne Lundstein in the band’s studio in Gotland, Sweden. It is mixed in Seattle by Jay Pinto and mastered by Linus Larsson. The cover is edited by Ancha Ahlbertz and the photo is taken by Lotta Blank.
