Self-Titled Album

Bobbo Byrnes' new self-titled album delves deep into themes of healing and redemption through the power of music. This latest offering showcases Bobbo's unique recording technique of double tracked stereo guitars, creating a rich, expansive acoustic sound that stands out in today's music landscape.

Drawing inspiration from his early influences, the album embraces the alternative rock essence of the 80's and 90's, echoing the sounds of iconic bands like The Church, The Replacements, and U2. Each track is a testament to persistence and self-belief, offering listeners an inspiring journey through struggles and triumphs.

Bobbo's 2020 release, "SeaGreenNumber5", was recorded in the living room of the house he was renting and very much had a living room concert vibe to it, using a cajon drum kit, violin and pedal steel guitar to go along with his acoustic strummings. The follow-up, "October", was recorded on tour in Europe over 2 days, 1 day spent in Berlin's Hansa Studios and another day in Dublin's Windmill Lane Studios, and is a stripped down recording of just acoustic guitar, mandolin and vocals.

With 2024's self-titled album, Bobbo borrowed from what he learned recording and touring those albums by making a full on rock and roll album while still holding on to the acoustic foundation of the previous albums. The bigger sound included classic sounds of Steinway piano, Hammond B3 organ, as well as 12 string Rickenbacker guitar.

With "Bobbo Byrnes", he not only revisits the musical styles that shaped him but also pushes the boundaries of his artistry, delivering a deeply personal and resonant collection of songs that affirm the enduring power of music to heal and uplift.
