Album Of The Week

"Med ett av årets vackraste och mest tilltagna skivomslag ställde jag mig först frågan, 'vad är egentligen det här?'. Med andra ord inledande 'Whistle Blow' var inte det jag hade förväntat mig. En liten halv-seg låt, som inte alls föll mig i smaken. 14 låtar senare på den här skivan, eller skivorna, eftersom det även inkluderas alternativa mixar, har jag fått en ny favorit. En kvinna och sångerska som verkligen sticker ut, inte minst med en gyllene röst som är både vacker och stämningsfull. Till detta kan läggas snygga låtar med ett förstklassigt komp i form av stråkar, synth, blås, diverse gitarrer och lite annat. Musikaliskt är det en mix av pop, country och jazz, och det framförs med både själ och hjärta, och det är toner som lika gärna hade kunnat komma från en ung Joni Mitchell på upptäcktsfärd."
