“Catch Me When You Can, Mr Lusk” is the 2nd single released from West Of Eden’s upcoming theme album “Whitechapel”. The songs and stories are set in the dark and dirty London of the 1880’s and focus mostly on the 5 women who later would become victims of the infamous Jack The Ripper.
In this song, which features musical elements from British folk ballads, americana and alternative folk, we get to meet George Lusk. He’s the president of The Whitechapel Vigilance Committee, who are assisting the local police in their fruitless attempts to catch the killer.
And it’s to him that Jack The Ripper sends the eerie and sinister “Letter From Hell” which he very confident signs with the words “Catch Me When You Can, Mr Lusk”!
"Catch Me When You Can, Mr Lusk", as well as the entire album, West Of Eden's 13th, was mixed in Edinburgh by Cameron Malcolm and mastered by Calum Malcolm, a legend known for his work on classic albums by artists such as The Blue Nile, Prefab Sprout, and Mark Knopfler.
Single release March 1st, 2024, and the album, "Whitechapel", will be released on March 15th, 2024.
