- Robert Ryttman / Zero Magazine -

"It’s one thing to write an album, it’s another to live the stories and messages you’re writing about. When singer songwriter Brock Davis penned this album, he was searching for meaning as a songwriter. But as the mixing process began, a sudden health scare cast the album’s sentiments in a startling new light."

- Kenneth Bremer / Blue Desert -

"Many songs are poignant, with vitality and quite personal. Along with Gordon Lightfoot, Brock Davis also has a Mickey Newbury touch, with some songs displaying his excellent pipes. Songs sung and designed to be short stories with characters, situations and lots of reminiscing. Not too commercial or mainstream, but Brock hits a chord in the heart, as well as the soul."

- John Apice / Americana Highways -

"Brock Davis, with his clear and very emotionally singing voice full of expression and warmth, is able to share his stories with us listeners. I can often find myself in one or the other song, this music seems in its own way quite honest and taken from life, something like this has become very rare today, and if the whole thing is implemented with the musicians involved so professionally and sensitively, then I can't help but give this album the title 'particularly valuable'!"

- Wolfgang Giese / Musik An Sich -

"This whole album comes across as a search for comfort. Sometimes the declarations of love are all too sweet country, but on other songs you can mention Warren Zevon and John Mellencamp as influences. All in all, it is still worth it."

- John Gjaltema / Alt Country NL -

"Brock Davis' 'Nothing Lasts Forever' colors very safely within the framework, but he knows how to bring it in an enthusiastic way so that you continue to listen with interest for 14 songs. Everything is right about this album and although it will not reach a massively large audience, I can recommend this for the connoisseur of americana. Brock Davis loves life, for better or for worse, that much has become clear to me. And he knows how to process his life experiences in a very strong way in his songs. Great album!"

- William van Voorbergen / Orange Flag Music -

"About 2 years ago, we learned about the last Brock Davis release, 'Everyday Miracle'. That album is now succeeded by a new one from this suntanned folk and country singer songwriter. On ‘Nothing Lasts Forever’ which follows after his cancer diagnosis and its successful treatment, he has collected 14 new storytelling songs that were recorded once again in Nashville, TN, still the very core center of country music."

- Valére Sampermans / Rootstime -

"Last year, in the middle of the summer period, you could read the review of 'Everyday Miracle', the 1st part of the recording sessions in the Backstage studios in Nashville. On the cover photo of the sequel, created with the help of the same musical team with only renowned session people, you can see Brock Davis, lost in deep thought. A pose that fits wonderfully well with the theme of the second load, 14 songs by a singer songwriter who is more searching. We almost never got to listen to these songs, during the completion of the recording sessions of the 2nd part, persistent health problems popped up that, thank God, have now been overcome."

- Cis van Looy / Written In Music -

"Brock Davis' 'Nothing Lasts Forever' is a rich and sensitive album whose warmth is contagious at the end of winter."

- Sam Pierre / Du Côté de Chez Sam -

"This album has a message of hope, resilience and resistance in the face of the thousand challenges that life puts in front of us."

- Remo Ricaldone / Planet Country -

"Brock Davis' style is recognizable, and it can be said that with the current release he continues where he left off with the previous album. And that, of course, in his characteristic way, convincingly and with creative arrangements, that at no point cast doubt on his authorship skills."

- Branimir Lokner / Time Machine Music -
