For those of you who like 60's progrock, 70's vibes, here comes a real novelty from 1971.
Marsfolket formed a kind of Swedish supergroup with 6 of the more vital musicians who were picked from 6 different bands. Claes af Geijerstam (Ola & The Janglers), Björn Skifs (Slamcreepers), Janne Schaffer (Sleepstones), Björn Linder (Blond/Palmes) , Bosse Häggström (Lea Riders, Made In Sweden) and Ola Brunkert (Sciences Poption).
The formation took place in March 1971, and for the sake of simplicity they called themselves Marsfolket (a.k.a. 'March People', in English known as Martians). With the help of manager Thomas Johansson, a tour of Sweden was carried out in March and April 1971, and it is the end of that tour that is now on the LP.
The entire 54 year wait is over and it has finally come time for the whole world to get a taste of what the Martians created during one month in the spring of 1971.
Offered on both black and colored vinyl in limited editions of 250 copies each, including booklet with pictures, biography, etc.
Mellotronen, March 7th, 2025.
