"This Saturday, I played a solo acoustic show. I had just seen the new Dylan bio-pix. 'A Complete Unknown'. I loved it, and I was pumped up with 'one guy and a guitar can change the world' attitude. So I played a set of those kind of songs. I covered 'Across The Borderline'. I played 'Burn It All Down', 'This Land Is Our Land', 'Don't Tell Mom' and 'Redemption'. 13 songs in all, with lots of stories in between. And I ended with a slow version of 'Blowing In The Wind'. That's a song that I haven't played live in about 40 years. After the set, a gentleman came up to me, to tell me how much my set meant to him. I had never seen him before. I found out later that he had just been freed from prison. He had served 24 years for a crime that he did not commit. I was floored. I know that we're not selling a lot of records. But people are hearing the songs. And the message is getting out there." ~ Scott McClatchy
