The Underfall Yard

Big Big Train are delighted to announce the re-issue on April 9th, 2021, of the 2009 album, "The Underfall Yard", available in 2 CD and 3 LP formats, as well as digitally on Bandcamp and all major streaming services.

The album was originally released in December 2009 and was the first to feature David Longdon, Nick D’Virgilio and Dave Gregory as, respectively, the band’s lead singer, drummer and guitarist. "The Underfall Yard" was released before the resurgence of interest in vinyl and the re-issue will be the 1st time that the album has been available on vinyl. There will also be a 2 CD edition, alongside download and streaming releases.

For the re-issue of "The Underfall Yard", the band’s mixing engineer Rob Aubrey went back to the original multi track sessions and remixed the album to ensure the best audio quality. Alongside the remix of the original album, we are pleased to present a number of additional songs, including 2 new tracks and previously unreleased 2020 studio recordings of "Victorian Brickwork" and the album’s title track, featuring the band’s line up prior to the departures of Dave Gregory, Rachel Hall and Danny Manners. Cover artist Jim Trainer has also provided additional paintings which feature in both the vinyl and CD editions.
