Berra Karlsson, brother of Cina Samuelson, and also her famous pedal steel player, has just released his 4th single as an artist in his own right. This follows an instrumental version of "Let It Be Me" (1st recorded by Gilbert Becaud in 1955, and later a big hit by The Everly Brothers in 1960), then his and producer and dear friend Stig Lindell's composition "The Good Day", plus a stunning version of the 1950 Herb Remington and Hank Penny classic, "Remington Ride".
Now it's time for the stunning original composition "Missing You". Just like The Rolling Stones said in the 1960's, if you don't feel something listening to this emotional great track, you must have a "heart of stone".
Berra always surrounds himself with wonderful musicians. The 4 singles features contributions from Stig Lindell on keyboards and guitars, Andreas Ea Olsson on electric guitar, Stefan Jonsson on electric guitar, Magnus Fritz and Ola Johansson on drums, Mattias Uhrbom on bass, and Mikael Strömqvist och harmonica. All 4 singles recorded at Birdbay Studio through Lindell Productions.
Berra Karlsson is a much sought after pedal steel player in Sweden, with a lot of performances and recordings on his credit list. Apart from gigging and recording with Cina Samuelson, for a number of years, Berra has also toured, recorded and done TV-shows with Hasse Andersson, Jeff Bates, George Highfill, Wanda Jackson, Jill Johnson, Georgette Jones, Jill King, Nils Landgren, Meadow Creek, Tone Norum, Don Redmon, Alf Robertsson, Christer Sjögren, Connie Smith, Uno Svenningson, Billy Yates, Sven Zetterberg, among many others.
"Missing You" is just a teaser of more tracks to be released in 2021. Stay tuned.....
