Take Me Home

"It was a cool loft apartment in Berlin on a gray and rainy April day. Outside, the rain tapped steadily against the window, and a chill lingered in the air. My friend Jerry and I had a day off on our Germany tour. Neither of us felt like braving the cold, wet streets, so we stayed in. As we sat there with our guitars, a melancholic, hauntingly beautiful melody began to take shape. The words came just as naturally, reflecting the longing we felt, I longed for the sun, for warmth, and for my husband far away. Touring is often a mix of excitement and uncertainty. I was weary of the unknown venues, the unpredictable audiences, and the constant questions about how we would make it work. That longing poured into the song, yearning for something bigger, brighter, more loving. Even now, every time I sing it, the meaning shifts, but the longing remains. I hope this song brings you back to your own deep desires, and reminds you of what truly moves your heart." ~ Eva Hillered

"Take Me Home", the title track to Eva Hillered's forthcoming album, will be out on all download and streaming services on February 5th, 2025.
