Yesterday, on February 3rd, 2023, Swedish duo LISAS released their 2nd album, "Etiam", an album that was made despite the pandemic and biblical floods in the studio that almost destroyed all the recordings.

Fortunately, much could be saved and from the ashes the sequel "Etiam" has been allowed to emerge during a period of reflection. The interaction has intensified and the curiosity about each other's musical influences has resulted in 11 new compositions that intertwine folk music, baroque, tango and contemporary art music.

"Etiam" is an album that has all the potential to also reach new listeners both in Sweden and abroad, where LISAS has already received a very good response for previous album releases and live performances in the US and Europe.

When LISAS received the prize for best folk music of the year 2018 at the Manifest Gala, the jury's motivation was "Experience LISAS's musical conversation where two instruments become one and one person becomes two in a dialogue that conveys a peaceful atmosphere, beautiful harmony, touching depth and feather light sensuality".

The 1st album "Fiddle & Accordeon Conversations" from 2017 was praised by the critics with a 5 out of 5 in Sweden’s biggest morning paper, Dagens Nyheter, and it was also named one of the most important folk music albums of the century in the Swedish magazine Lira.

Lisa Långbacka and Lisa Rydberg are both educated at the Royal Academy Of Music and two of Sweden's most sought after musicians. They have been seen and heard in pop, jazz, baroque music and in theatre. When they formed the duo LISAS in 2011, they wanted to create their own room for
sensitive musical conversations.

LISAS has collaborated with artists such as First Aid Kit, Lena Willemark, Sofia Karlsson, Staffan Hellstrand, Sofie Livebrant and the Norwegian string orchestra Trondheimsolistene, and has played at several major events such as the awarding of the Rolf Schock Prize, Expressen's Culture Award and the Royal Academy of Music's festive gathering, as well as specially composed music for the Gävle Symphony Orchestra.

In connection with the album release of "Etiam", a release tour will be carried out and an animated video of the 1st single release, "Sarafour", will be released, directed and animated by David Giese, who among other things did all the illustrations, animations for Jason "Timbuktu" Diakité's performance ”A Drop Of Midnight”, who toured the world, as well as everything from Markus Krunegård to Jenny Wilson and Johnossi.
