The Prince Estate has announced a deluxe release of "Prince & The Revolution : Live". The original recording was captured in 1985 during the legendary 'Purple Rain' tour. The performance, which took place March 30th in Syracuse, New York, was broadcast to millions live via satellite and captured in the corresponding concert film, also titled "Prince & The Revolution : Live". Now, the performance has been completely remastered and digitally enhanced. It arrives June 3rd, 2022,, available on CD, vinyl, and BluRay formats for the 1st time.

“Listening back to that Syracuse show, I’m like, 'wow, we sound like a freight train just coming out of nowhere’”, the Revolution’s Brown Mark says in a press release. “That was powerful. I’ve been to a lot of concerts, and I’ve never seen anything like that”.

The original video of Prince & The Revolution’s set has been rescanned, restored, and color corrected, while the original multitrack audio master reels have been remixed and remastered onto BluRay with selectable stereo, 5.1 surround, and Dolby Atmos. Prince’s recording engineer Chris James remixed the source audio, which was recently discovered in Prince’s Paisley Park vault, where it had been for 3 decades. The audio edition of "Prince & The Revolution : Live" will be issued as a 3 x LP set, and on a 2 x CD set, a CD + BluRay set, as well as on digital platforms.
