Mermaid Avenue Box

Billy Bragg is one of Britain's most influential singer songwriters, known for blending folk, rock, and politically charged songwriting across a career spanning more than 4 decades.

Wilco emerged from the alt country movement of the 1990's and evolved into one of America's most acclaimed rock bands, celebrated for their adventurous sound and enduring influence on indie and americana music.

Woody Guthrie remains one of the most important figures in American folk music, whose songs and writings helped define the genre and inspired generations of artists, including Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, and countless others.

Together, Bragg, Wilco, and Guthrie's words formed the foundation of the landmark "Mermaid Avenue" recordings, bridging folk traditions with contemporary songwriting.

The "Mermaid Avenue" series is one of the most successful and unusual folk rock collaborations of the last few decades. At its core, the project took previously unpublished Woody Guthrie lyrics and set them to entirely new music composed and performed by Billy Bragg and Wilco. Celebrated for honoring Guthrie's spirit while creating something entirely new, the "Mermaid Avenue" recordings remain a landmark achievement in folk and Americana music.

These releases comprise:"Mermaid Avenue", "Mermaid Avenue Vol II" and "Mermaid Avenue Vol III" available individually on 180 gram vinyl, as well as a 4 CD box set.

Billy Bragg & Wilco's "Mermaid Avenue : The Complete Sessions" arrives December 11th, 2026.
