Celebrating over 40 years since its original release, "Heartbeat City" remains The Cars’ most commercially successful album, certified 4 x platinum in the US and charting worldwide. Produced by Robert John 'Mutt' Lange, it features 6 hit singles including “Drive”, “You Might Think”, and “Magic”.

The 40th anniversary deluxe edition is a 4 CD set containing unreleased material, including b sides, remixes, early mixes, alternate versions, and a full 1984 concert recorded in Houston. A replica of the original vinyl LP, plus a beautiful 16 page, 12” x 12” color book is featured as part of this set.

Also includes track by track annotations by keyboardist and band member Greg Hawkes.
