Americana artist Buford Pope releases his 1st album in Swedish.

After 9 albums in English, Buford Pope is taking a new step in his career by releasing his 1st album in Swedish, "Kvinnor & Män". The 1st single, "Förlåt", marks the beginning of a new musical journey where the personal takes center stage.

“Writing in Swedish was a completely different experience. I noticed that I became more direct, perhaps because it’s my native language. This made the album my most personal one yet”.

The album was recorded live at Ladaland Studios with Jokke Svenningrud as sound engineer. Buford Pope was joined in the studio by seasoned musicians such as Jonnie Holmberg, drums, Alfred Andersson, bass, and Rickard Alerstedt, pedal steel.

Once the foundation was laid, Jokke’s magical guitars and the atmospheric harmonies from Anna B Liljeborg and Jokke himself took the sound even further. The single, "Förlåt", was released on February 20th, 2025, followed by 2 more singles before the full album, "Kvinnor & Män", reaches listeners.
