“'Blood Red Moon', Barbara Bergin’s debut CD, features a colorful cast of characters from the young prince of Wales to the captain of the Robert E Lee, to a possum in the corn. Her musical stories are contemplative, rowdy, old fashioned and come from a place in her soul that reveals the many facets of an artist who’s come a long way on the road of life."

"Well, here's an interesting backstory. Born in the Bronx and now living in Austin, TX, a still active cowgirl with 6 champion belt buckles to her name, Bergin is an orthopaedic surgeon and co-founder of Texas Orthopedics Sports & Rehabilitation Associates. She's published one novel, 'Endings', and has the non-fiction 'Sit Like A Man' in the works, and is a public speaker for female empowerment. She also writes songs and now, in her mid 60's and after 34 years in medical practice, she's releasing her debut album. And rather good it is too. A late new career entry perhaps, but, relaxed and confident, hopefully just the start of a long one."

"During daytime Barbara Bergin is an orthopedic surgeon in Austin, Texas. Coming home in the evening she transforms into an enthusiastic singer and songwriter of folk and bluegrass songs. 12 of such storytelling compositions have now landed on her debut album ‘Blood Red Moon’, which is a promising effort to acquire a permanent position in the world of folk music.“
