1985 Box Set

"1985" is a newly curated limited edition deluxe box set put together by The Waterboys' leader Mike Scott telling the story of the making of the band's landmark album "This Is The Sea" and the timeless single, "The Whole Of The Moon".

Containing 95 tracks over 6 CD's, including a remastered version of "This Is The Sea", 64 previously unreleased recordings of home recordings, early demos, alternate versions, outtakes, live recordings, and tv and radio sessions covering the recording process of the album.

The set features a 220 page hard cover book containing a 1st hand account of the creation of the album with recording details, background, cultural context, photographs (many previously unseen), songwriting pages, lyrics and previously unseen writings. The text is by Mike Scott, with additional sections by Anthony Thistlethwaite and Max Edie.
